when the ps2 (fat) was getting older the sony launched its brand new ps2 slim so at that time everyone was in favor of ps2 (fat) so as now the company launched ps3 slim everyone is doing favor of ps3 (fat) whats the
i mean playstation2 slim showed more stamina than playstation-2 fat and that masterpiece was setting in the trends around the earth
so why the most of the people are recommending me to buy ps3 (fat) rather than ps3 slim why please just tell me

there is no difference between the ps3 and ps3 slim except the slim has sync bravia and the fat is able to have other os like linux

They’re recommending it out of fear of previous issues to pop up. The PS2 Slimline had overheating issues and often shook uncontrollably. So, they’re expecting the PS3 Slim to face the same issues.
Their generally isn’t any difference between the PS3 Slim and regular besides:
1) It’s smaller allowing for saving of space
2) The hard drive is a good 120 GB
And I don’t think Sony will allow the PS2 Slimline issues to repeat themselves. They’ll almost certainly fix it. Personally, talking from a hardcore gamer’s point of view, I easily recommend that you get a PS3 Slim.

The backwards compatibility and the 2 extra USB ports were removed ever since the 40 GB model was launched. So, he will not find one with those specs at all.
And the costs were cut down because they used a matte material and used a smaller chipset without affecting the performance…
I would stick with the fat boy because it is the all around a better model. The slim looks ok, but in reality, if it is low in price… It is for a reason. What else did they cut back on to save money? The took the fat boys down from 4 usb port to 2. And took out backward compatability to save money. I’m am not to familiar with the specs of the slim because i could care less about. I have a 60 gig model, and couldn’t be happier.
There are two reasons behind this -
One being that the PS2 slim didnt preform up to par as the fat one when it was first released leading people to think that this might be the same , anyway by december when you intend to buy one , the reveiws will be up and you can decide on which you want to buy
Second one being the fat one is more attractive – Shiny finish , touch interface and stuff like that
