I am 20 years old and I am a hardcore gamer.

What I don’t understand is why some guys have to automatically assume that women do not know anything about gaming and the gaming industry. Why? Is it because we have these things called boobs and we happened to grow up playing barbies?? That we like to play with our hair and put on make up?

Well guess what, half of those barbie-playing girls also owned every game system out there and put in almost 40+ hours a week, such as myself.

Most of us girls enjoy the same games you do, such as Halo and then reach a level 50.

All I am saying is that I am tired of guys assuming that women do not know squat just because they do not have a male reproductive organ.

For those guys who support female gamers 100%, such as my boyfriend….you kick a lot ass.

There are a lot more female gamers out there than you think. Maybe quite a few guys you played against that were great were really girls.

Most girls don’t have a tag or whatever that makes it obvious that they are female…and maybe they don’t want they guys to know so that they won’t be bashed on.

A lot of girls keep quiet just to avoid the nonsense.
Marky, I totally get what your saying and it really doesn’t matter what anybody says, but you have to understand this: after hearing it chronically, it gets old real damn fast and very annoying after hearing it your entire life.

So typically, if something is really annoying you, your not just going to keep quiet.

Knowing that the best gamers are not pros. How can be one of those in the right place at the right time?
My games I play at high levels are Halo and Music games. I’m really pretty good at all shooters but halo was the first I really latched on too that’s professionally played. My favorite shooter online will always be Medal of Honor Heroes 2 on the wii. Which anyone who was in that community can tell you how competitive it truly is.

Also so far as Halo goes I excel at slayer and Oddball. I’m working on CTF which usually has always been my strength in all other shooters.

The computer costs 0 without video card, 2GB ram, and sound card. I’ll add those later which will cost as follows:

Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE
RAM: 2x 1GB Modules 0

If I buy these components through Dell custom build, it would cost me 75 with the Intel graphics card. That’s 5 more with a sh*t graphics card. So I’m saving about 0.

Why is it that "Professional" clan gamers on XBL are more aggressive to the casual gamer types when it comes to online games such as Gears of war 2, Halo reach & Call of duty?

I’m more of an RPG/Campaign gamer, I don’t tend to play online much. But I have recently discovered the 30 day trial and I have come across so many aggressive gamers. I don’t understand why they feel they can look down at the more casual gamer because they’re better than them at the game…
