How many dimensions in a 2d video game (x axis, y axis, time)?

At first glance this must look like a stupid question (2 dimensional video game = 2 dimensions), but are we forgetting about time?

1d = X axis
2d = X and Y axis
3d = X,Y and Z axis
4d = X,Y,Z axis AND TIME

A 2d video game has : X axis, Y axis and TIME.
That 3 dimensions in total.

My 15 year old son is obese (280lbs). Is it wrong to take away video games & TV to encourage exercise?

Previously, I have restricted these privileges and it has proven to encourage exercise and weight lose. My wife believes it’s wrong to take away his privs. I am greatly concerned about his health as he is borderline diabetic. He spends nearly all of his free time in front of a TV, computer or video game when given free choice.
Thanks, DJ’s Mama, we have a Wii Fit and he does not use it unless he’s forced to do so.
Thank you very much for the answers thus far. I am confident that the issue is not dietary. We do a good job of making sure there are no "bad" foods in the house and monitor his eating habits at school through the school’s website which shows items he is buying at school for lunch. Like I said, he has shown a steady drop in weight in the past made to exercise regularly.

Im a girl obviously and I love my xbox 360.
I consider myself a Gamer and I also say Im one of the better types of Gamers.
I have always been a gamer since Sega, starting with Sonic

In elementry school and middle school If anyone found out i loved video games i was hated by the girls and the guys looked at me as if i was lying.
High school came around and Now guys just stop in their tracks and stare at me like im heaven sent because i play.
Is it really that amazing that High school girls can like video games?
Do you think its normal, stupid, or awesome if a girl plays?
Im so tired of proving that i play by talking about video game plots just to prove that im not some figment of everyones imagination.
Are there many female Gamers where you’re at?
